Over the next few days we will be editing all of the Grids and re-posting all of the Public posts back into the Private areas now that the upgrades are now complete and everything seems to be working again.

We did a random test of several Member logins and all were successful.  Please let us know ASAP if you still are unable to login.

Things are looking pretty ugly…

Today was the biggest volume day since 3/20, and that was an UP day.  The DOW is now within ~100 points of the MAR low, and ~200 points of the JAN low.  The NAZ is still holding up pretty well considering the action in the larger market.

It wouldn’t surprise us if we were to get a bit of a rebound rally next week.  We ended the week by tightening our hedges Selling closer to the money Calls, and by purchasing more downside protection with additional Put and/or Put Spreads.

We will update the Position Grids over the weekend and are now going to start concentrating on evaluating oversold, solid, dividend paying stocks that may be getting hammered in this current environment.  This is exactly the time that we look to add to our Long Stock holdings…  That is, when everything regardless of performance is selling off.

We are also near the end of our patience with our current Membership engine and their inability to fix the login issue with our Members, though they have assured us that it will be fixed very soon.  Until it is, we will continue publishing all of our posts to the Public area for all to view.

I have not heard yet from the cyber-mechanics regarding the login problem so I assume they haven’t yet figured it out.  If anyone IS able to log in please send us a note.

Until this issue is fully addressed and corrected to our satisfaction, we will continue publishing all of our posts for Public view.  If any Members need access to anything that is not currently available please let us know and we will give you specific access to that content you can’t see right now.

Everyone should be able to log in to the website now, according to our host.  Some of you may need to refresh your browsers and/or Favorites links.  If anyone has any problems whatsoever, and regardless of how minor, please let us know immediately while we have our host’ attention that their recent surprise upgrade has caused problems with some of their client websites.

Once again, sorry for any inconvenience that any of you experienced from this “Perfect Storm” of website upgrade hell that we may now drifting out of… albeit slowly.

Saturday Update…
Due to a compatability issue with all of the seemingly simultaneous upgrades that occurred this past week, which may may only affect the administrators (me and others who can edit & create content and posts), the website environment (WordPress) may need to be reinstalled over the weekend and you may not be able to access the site for a period of time when this reinstall is being completed.

The plan is that the site host will give us advance notice when they will be reinstalling so we can post the time the site will be unavailable. That’s the plan… ;-)

Friday…

As we posted WED, there are upgrades going on to the website with our WordPress format which is the Blog environment which we base on service.  There is also an upgrade that was installed late yesterday from the Membership engine.

Now today I have learned that our website host has also upgraded their servers and SQL, blah, blah, blah in the last 2 days.

The result is that, temporarily, you may not be able to log on to the site.  Today I will post everything as public so that any action we take will be available without logging in until we figure out what action we need to take to make sure everyone’s logins are working again.

We have now made all of our posts since last Friday “Public” so that if you are temporarily unable to log in you can still review our actions from this last week under the “Alerts & News” category without logginh in.

We are currently upgrading the software for WordPress and for the Membership engine and are unable to edit any posts or the Position Grids.

This maintenance should be completed tomorrow.

As we’ve said many times, this market is not currently very conducive for new entries.  However, for those of you who have ongoing positions, or want to make some low risk entries to use for generating regular income, we will happy to help you do that.

Even though we feel a responsibility not to enter new positions that put you at risk during unfavorable market conditions, there are still opportunities out there for those who have positions, or want to spend some extra time to learn how to manage new positions for regular income generation with low risk.

We realize that this whipsaw market is boring if you aren’t in the game.  But if you want to make some low risk entries and begin the process of learning income generating techniques and good hedging techniques with small entries using real money, you can begin to get the feel, and knowledge, for what to do in different situations.

This is a good time to begin learning, or sharpening, skills that will serve you well in the future while this crazy market figures out what it wants to do.
